Friday 29 November 2019 to Sunday 1 December 2019
10am to 5pm each day
The crew of Deepdale Backpackers & Camping will be serving hot drinks, mulled wine, homemade cakes and biscuits from the kitchen of the backpackers hostel.
This year the crew are raising funds for
St Martins Housing Trust and
The Peoplesí Picnic, both local hard working organisations helping the homeless.
Join us for a mug of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, enjoy one of our homemade cakes or biscuits, maybe a warming glass of mulled wine.
Part of Deepdale Christmas Market
There will be entertainment in the backpackers courtyard throughout the weekend, with local musicians, and donít miss the
Christmas Jumper Flash Mob on Sunday at 2.30pm (everyone welcome).
FILL A SOCK (OR TWO) AND HELP THE HOMELESS
Please help The Peoplesí Picnic help others by filling a sock with the following items ...
- Toothbrush & small tube of toothpaste
- Roll on deodorant
- Sweets or chocolates
- Baby or handwipes
- Boxers/knickers (Medium)
- More socks!
Filled socks can be left in the boxes at the Charity Cafe (in the kitchen of Deepdale Backpackers & Camping) or in Deepdale Visitor Information Centre.
Please do not include money or any items that contain alcohol such as hand gel.
If you are only filling one sock remember to put the other one inside as well. These can be tied with a coloured ribbon to mark as Male or Female if necessary.
Why not consider asking your workplace, school or friends to join you?
The Peoplesí Picnic see up to 90 people a night, so the more socks filled the better.
